Here is Five Question Friday from Five Crooked Halos blog!  What a fun way to end the week!

Happy weekend y’all!

1. What advice would you give a couple getting married?
Oh my is this a big question!!!  I would likely say, it’s not always going to be easy, but stick with it.  Trust each other and always be open with one another.  I have seen way to many people (couples) give up too soon.  The first few years can be so difficult with such a big life change.  After passing that stage of “getting used to each other” in the new expectations of what we call MARRIAGE (it really doesn’t matter how long you were together before getting married, this is truly a change in expectations and even sometime subconsciously!)

So yea, stick with it!
2. If you could tell your 16 year old self ONE thing, what would it be?

Relax.  Don’t be so hard on yourself.  What other people think really doesn’t matter that much.  Be true to who you are and all will come out alright in the end!  HA!  I guess that is not just one thing.

Just to add another… the most important thing I would tell myself is TRUST GOD!
3. What do you do to keep cool in the summer? (AC, windows, fans, swimming, etc.)

I have two little kiddos.  This is the first summer with the second little kiddo but since the day she came home, she does NOT like to be hot!  Oh the screaming that occurs when she is…  So, I would have to say that in previous years, when I was pregnant, it was all about air conditioning!  Now, swimming sure helps and it is lots of fun!  At pools, at the beach, with the hose… anyway to incorporate water takes the heat right out!  I am a sucker for a cool breeze in the summer so if that is possible, the windows are all open as far as can be and I do what I can to get that breeze inside!
4. What did you (or your wife) crave most while pregnant?
It was different with each pregnancy.  The first I craved fries!  I could not get enough fries! Ice cream was another one that would help quite a bit.  I was sooooo sick through my pregnancies that not much sounded too good.  The positive to that?  I lost weight while I was pregnant.  My second pregnancy I didn’t seem to crave much at all.  With being so sick to my stomach for the whole darn thing… at first I could only handle… wait for it… CANDY!  Any kind of candy as long as it wasn’t chocolate.  Which, if you know me is realllly strange.  I turn chocolate down for NOTHING!  In fact, in my opinion Chocolate is a very necessary food group… I digress…
5. Who is your favorite TV mom? Why?
I don’t know if I have a favorite TV mom.  I can not even come to think of one really.  They don’t make sitcoms like they used to that is for sure.  I guess, oh I really don’t know.  Umm…

Hmmmm… a part of me would say Angela from Who’s the Boss but she was so flighty that I would not like that.  I did like her nurturing side though!  I also think of Mrs. Huxtable.  She was kind but a little harsh from time to time, as I kid I am most certain I would not have liked that much.  So I guess there you are… A mixture of them both!

But I must say, my mom was the bees knees and I am happy she was mine.
